Self-doubt is real. Especially when we are focused on our own personal growth. The process of dreaming to reach our own versions of success is easy. It’s realistically the work that can feel heavy. Point “A” to point “B” may be one small step or 1,000 steps in between based on how you map out your journey. So, don’t make your bed hard. Remember, this is YOUR journey, and nobody else’s. Once a goal is determined the plan of action needs to be laid out. What is the best starting point? Who is your support system? How much time can you dedicate to staying on task? What is your end goal? Finally, are you ready to get started?
I have found that through the journey of self-determination is the period of trial and error or better known as immense challenges that weigh a ton. Some days there is an intense amount of gratitude for how smoothly the road was paved and then other days it feel like a string of potholes trying to leave you in the mud. Isn’t it kind of funny as well that we don’t appreciate the purpose of the challenge until we complete the mission? Setbacks are never setbacks and roadblocks are simply just detours showing us that we have strayed on the wrong path. Take the detour, it has presented itself for a reason. If you drive the same road every day, you’ll continuously see the same view but if you abide with the detours or wrong turns, you’ll be forced to have new ideals.
I bring up these two topics of self-doubt and self-determination because without each in your corner there is no success. It’s all about fighting the demons along the way, while proving to yourself that you are enough. You are good enough, brave enough, strong enough, smart enough and resilient enough to overcome any ill-conceived notion that crosses your mind. Stay positive on both the good and the bad days. Everything will pass in time.
